If it were possible to move the position of the panner 'puck' in the GUI directly with click and drag - rather then using the 'Azim' and 'Dist' knobs - that would be great.

Elevation changes are often less important and can be achieved in a second automation pass. You could also offer a side view which would show this.

A split xy, yz view is indeed possible although I've never been a fan of it due to the added screen-estate and the extra cognitive overhead from having to reason position from two screen projections. A compromise however may be to add a switch to lock elevation/orientation and have the user be able to drag the source instead.

Draggable sound-sources have now been added to v. 1.1.1. Also, the Mac Nuendo blacklist may have been indirectly been fixed in this version.
