Hi I'm using Zephyr a lot with binaural and quad outputs and it works perfectly for my projects. I'm not familiar with ambisonic, so I will really ask some advice for beginner I'm thinking to use more speakers and the hexagon grid of Zephyr for a specific project. The main difference with my actual setup will be 2d order with bottom according to the manual : Hexagon Grid (Front left, left, bottom left, bottom right, right, front right): First speaker positioned at 11 o’clock with subsequent speakers at 60-degree intervals. Outputs to channels 1-6. It will be for a project with some records with a Zoom H3 vr , so only in AmbiX 1 order format, so I don't need the bottom function. here is (on the right side) the setup I should use here is my question: could a hexagon grid works for this with this output preset , even it is just 1 order ? I will not have the bottom of course. If all the speakers are in the same elevation ( so bottom left/bottom right will be back left/back right), does it in theory make a better spacialiation than the Quadriphonic preset, without losing sound quality due to the bottom internal feature ? I think I understand and have practive with first order , but a real novice for 2d order...I can use external vst for this but really like the "all in one place" function of Zephyr thanks a lot for reading my poor english !
